Samuel B. Tipton
Before my career as an attorney started, I served as a member of the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment. I supported the Global War on Terrorism, having been deployed twice to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan.
I have seen many things overseas, and I learned many valuable lessons which I later applied to my law practice. One is that you always face your problems head-on. Another is that I love serving people and the community in a valuable way.
My education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Political Science and my Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law set me up for that path when I came back home.
Dedicated Family Law Attorney
My new mission is to help the people of East Tennessee deal with legal problems, specifically in Family Law. I realized that people find law and regulations confusing, especially with the constant changes that can be difficult to keep up with. That is why I became an attorney: to give personalized care to the people in my community, in situations when it’s most needed.
Family law usually involves stressful situations, whether it is an adoption, a divorce, or a custody battle. The legal system can be intimidating and frightening. That is why you need a dedicated lawyer to help you and be by your side through everything.
Here at Shepherd and Associates, P.C. we are a team that will do just that. Our approach is different from anything you have ever experienced before.
We become your friends, building a better understanding of your needs and your personality. Your problems become our problems, and we work together to solve them. This is why I like working at Shepherd and Associates, P.C.
This law firm encompasses everything that I believe in – serving the community, providing personalized service and working with people hands-on. An approach like this is especially important when you deal with family law.
I have seen many cases in all of my years of work and they are never easy. People are under a lot of stress; couples adopting children, couples divorcing, couples battling for custody and so on.
A gentler, more human approach is necessary for these situations. You have to understand how the clients feel and support them through what is a very difficult process.
We also believe in doing what’s best for the client. If a marriage can be fixed, we act as support and stop the divorce proceedings. We advise our clients on doing the best thing for their children when it comes to custody.
Shepherd and Associates, P.C. works as a mediator as well to set up mutual agreements between two parties so that everyone is satisfied and no one is suffering.
Personal Life and Interests
Work is a big part of my life. However, when I’m not arguing cases, my focus is entirely on my wonderful wife Stephanie Sardano Tipton and our amazing children Madox and Carson.
We are a happy East Tennessee family, actively involved in our community and various activities. Our free time is spent boating, camping, and hiking in the Smoky Mountains. These activities are my relaxation, and they replenish my energy for more work. The beautiful Tennessee nature nurtures our numerous outdoor activities and makes our lives even better.
Also, just like other East Tennessee families, we are huge fans of the Volunteers, and you’ll always find us cheering them on during their big games.
When you are ready to take the next steps in your life, contact Shepherd and Associates, P.C. offices and schedule an appointment.
